Russell Brand and Laura Gallacher: A Heartfelt Journey of Love, Marriage, and Family

 

After a high-profile romance and marriage with pop superstar Katy Perry, Russell Brand now lives a fairly quiet life with his wife of six years, Laura Gallacher.

The couple, who married each other in 2017, recently welcomed their third child. Interestingly, they had a brief relationship before Brand’s first marriage when he was a rising comedian. Fate brought them back together after eight years, with both experiencing heartbreak in between.

Laura, who is the sister of famous broadcaster Kirsty Gallacher, shared her unique love story on the podcast Made by Mommas. “I hadn’t seen Russell for years. He was so different,” she said, adding, “We both knew immediately it was going to be serious.”

Elaborating on their journey, she said, “You have to rebuild your foundation and trust, we did it the right way. It was very slow, getting to know each other and going on day trips together. ”

Russell and Laura are now the proud parents of three children. Their first daughter, Mabel, was born in 2016, followed by their second daughter, Peggy, in 2018.

In June, Russell appeared on the podcast The Diary of a CEO and happily announced that he and Laura were expecting their third child. It is believed that Laura has given birth to a child.

Laura’s father is the famous Scottish golfer Bernard Gallacher, who served as Ryder Cup captain for several European teams. Laura herself grew up on the prestigious Wentworth Estate in Surrey, England, one of the UK’s most exclusive estates.

Russell and Laura’s paths first crossed in 2007, thanks to his sister Kirsty. Brand once shared, “We met when she was 19 and I was 30. She loves me completely for who I am.” “She’s not interested in being famous at all.” Although the pair dated for a short time, Brand admitted that he was not interested in monogamy at the time.

In 2015, fate intervened and the pair were reunited in East London. Laura recalled the moment, “That day my ex literally walked out of our flat and I was heartbroken, with mascara running down my face.” She added, “A friend took me on a canal walk in East London, where I’d never been in my life, and as soon as we came to the sidewalk, Russell was standing there, like he’d arranged it.”

Russell and Laura resume dating and this time, their relationship becomes increasingly intense. Laura shared, “I remember him saying, ‘I think I want a quiet life and a family,’ and that was exactly what I wanted. So, then it was about seeing if “We can build a foundation to do that.”

In August 2017, Russell and Laura tied the knot in England, opting for a church ceremony near their home in Henley-on-Thames, Oxon. The wedding was attended by close friends and family, including their daughter Mabel, who was just nine months old at the time
